Since its founding in 2005 by Melania Lanzini artist and printmaker and Charles Loverme photographer, Florence School of Fine Arts is an art school shaped by artists that provide the highest international standard of art and humanities education.
Located in one of the most important Palazzo that was once the home and studio of Renaissance Artist, Author and Architect Giorgio Vasari, the school is situated in the heart of the city’s historical center steps away from Piazza Santa Croce. The school’s historic neighborhood is one of the most beautiful settings in Florence that breathes the Renaissance atmosphere. Walking out the school building you are minutes away from the Uffizi Gallery, Loggia dei Lanzi and Ponte Vecchio.
The Florence School of Fine Arts studios are spacious and filled with natural light, with unique and rare art making equipment not found in other art programs; the printmaking studios are located in Vasari's original workshop. Still visible are Vasari's decoration with a Medici coat of Arms and two allegorical frescoes painted above the entrance into the studio.
