The 2020 edition of Make Print, Taste Chianti, Live Florence will host guest artist and master printer Kim W Fink. With his long term professional experience in fine art processes with lithography, relief, silk screen and hybrid printing, Kim will hold the Printmedia workshop making prints and with a special emphasis on the creation of an artist’s Accordion Book using a variety printmaking methods and more! Your Journey comprises 5 full days of graphic print arts classes in the studio held at Vasari’s Palazzo combined with additional 5 days of food and wine tasting and museum visits to the most important masterpieces in the world, offering an inspiring 10 days of concentrated instruction, hands-on studio work with Kim W Fink specialties and a guided stunning tour to discover the Florentine culture and the beauty of the Chianti hills. In the Studio participants will have access to printmaking various tools, materials and equipment, including unique and rare 19th century wooden star wheel presses for lithography, marvelous iron hand presses for letterpress and professional Italian etching presses. The silkscreen facilities include a UV exposure unit, printer for making transparencies and hundreds of color inks and traditional supplies to choose from.
