Since its founding in 2005 by Melania Lanzini artist and printmaker and Charles Loverme photographer, Florence School of Fine Arts is an art school shaped by artists that provide the highest international standard of art and humanities education.
The 2020 edition of Make Print, Taste Chianti, Live Florence will host guest artist and master printer Kim W Fink. With his long term professional experience in fine art processes with lithography, relief, silk screen and hybrid printing, Kim will hold the Printmedia workshop making prints and with a special emphasis on the creation of an artist’s Accordion Book using a variety printmaking methods and more!More Info

Florence: Arrival day of participants, housing opens, check-in apartments. Arrival in Florence in early afternoon of July 2nd is highly recommended to rest and acclimate to time difference before the beginning of the program the next day.
$ 3,850.00 (three thousands and eight hundreds and fifty) per person. The price includes 5 full days of Printmedia workshop at Florence School of Fine Arts and all material costs; lodging in apartments for the 10 days of duration of the Journey; orientation and welcome Aperitivo; Florence walking tour; two special dinners, three museums entrance fees, travel to Chianti for wine tasting.

Kim William Fink received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from the Pacific Northwest College of Art, Portland, Oregon in 1975, studying painting from Mike Russo and printmaking from Clifford Smith, the first Education Director of Tamarind Institute. In 1979, he graduated form Tyler School of Art at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA and Rome, Italy with an MFA in Printmaking, studying under Romas Viesulas, John Dowel and Rochelle Toner.
$ 700,00 (seven hundred) NOT Refundable deposit are due on February 21st, 2020.
The deposit is necessary to reserve your place in the program and your housing.
Deposit needs to be made for every participants and for every non – PrintmedLia workshop companion. Single deposit made by participant is not valid to guarantee the presence of spouses and others companions in the program.
Final balance due on April 1st, 2020.
Please fill out and return your complete on line application forms no later than February 15th, 2020. Please do not forget to indicate in the application if you are joining the program with your spouse or significant others, that will determinate important variations in the housing typology to reserve to you and costs for extra people.
Minimum attendance of 8 (eight) participants are required to run the program. If the minimum has not been met Florence School of Fine Arts reserves the right to cancel the program in which case any payments made will be refunded without further obligation on our part.
Enrollment is limited to 15 (fifteen) participants!
If a participant cancels his/her presence in the program and payments have been made, Florence School of Fine Arts will refund the program tuition by its Refund Policy except for the $700 NON Refundable deposit.
Accommodation is reserved by Florence School of Fine Arts in apartments located in the historical center of Florence with maximum 20 minutes walking from school. Bedrooms can be single and double occupancy if you travel with a partner or spouse. Apartments are fully furnished and they may have from two to four bedrooms.
Apartments are all different, by neighborhoods and style. This makes living in the city extremely unique, just be aware of the difference in standards. Many of the apartments are spread out among the historic center within popular, residential, touristic neighborhoods. Apartments are available only for the duration of the program.
All levels of experience are welcomed, No prior experience or background in printmaking, letterpress or silkscreen are required to take part in Make Print, Taste Chianti, Live Florence!
Participants can consider this journey a special time to explore a new culture and a new direction in creativity, create a contact with one of the most important cultural location in the world where there are masterpieces at every step you make.
